Hi, I'm Jesse.
I'm based in Austin, Texas, originally from California. I play a lot of tennis and volleyball, and I'm especially passionate about sports and performance more broadly. My path into nutrition started in a course at Georgetown while I was finishing my master's in integrative medicine. Hearing that nearly every chronic condition traces back, in some way, to the gut flipped a switch for me. I went on to complete a Post-Master's Certificate in Nutrition & Integrative Health, and I'm now a CNS candidate (CNSc). The Certified Nutrition Specialist credential is the highest-level, advanced certification for personalized nutrition practitioners.
What I love most about this field is how deep it goes. I'm drawn to the biochemistry and physiology behind why the body behaves the way it does, not the trendy advice churning around online. Staying close to the science keeps me a lifelong learner, which is a big part of why I fell in love with the work in the first place.
Taking a holistic approach is personal for me. My mom was cured from an undiagnosable liver disease through integrative medicine, and she feels it saved her life. I've seen this work up close, more than once, and I've also felt the pain of watching people struggle without it. That's why this type of work matters so much to me.
My mission is to take what I've worked hard to study and give people a real chance to heal themselves, and more importantly, prevent future issues before they start. Prevention is the best medicine. My goal is to get people back to optimal health, and keep them there.
